In 1991, two concerned parents of adult children with mental illness joined forces to build an organization to help address the needs of their loved ones--currently and in the years to come.  Thus the PLAN program was born.

In August of 2017, PLAN officially merged with Jewish Family Service of Dallas and operates as a program dedicated to working with those affected by severe mental illness. PLAN currently serves over a 150 individuals and their families, using a holistic approach to treating individuals with mental illness in an effort to empower individuals with an improved quality of life.
