SERVICES

In 1991, two concerned parents of adult children with mental illness joined forces to build an organization to help address the needs of their loved ones--currently and in the years to come.

Thus the PLAN program was born.

In August of 2017, PLAN officially merged with Jewish Family Service of Dallas and operates as a program dedicated to working with those affected by severe mental illness. PLAN currently serves over a 150 individuals and their families, using a holistic approach to treating individuals with mental illness in an effort to empower individuals with an improved quality of life.

Family Support

Caring for loved ones struggling with mental illness can be incredibly challenging. Resources tend to be scarce and families often feel very alone.

Since the pandemic, our Family Support Group (FSG) has been temporarily paused, and we hope to get it up and running again soon. If you have interest in participating in or initiating upcoming FSG meetings, please contact facilitator Woody Weilage or Ruth Josenhans, PLAN Director, for more information.
